Our custom microspheres can be used as fillers, carriers, or active ingredients in paints, coatings, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and drug delivery. Our microcoatings enable us to create particles with dual-functionalities that can be manipulated externally by chemical reactions and electromagnetic forces, with many applications in diagnostic and medical devices. Our proprietary microstructures control fluid flow and position microparticles for proper operation in a device. Our unique encapsulation techniques and materials seal devices while maintaining the flexibility and optical clarity. Currently we are working on integrating our microtechnology solutions into electronic paper displays, solar cells, and diagnostic devices. Rotating Particles and Matrix in Electronic Paper Digital Displays:
 Ultra low power electronic paper displays based on the rotating ball concept have been around for over 30 years, but implementation has been limited by poor contrast and brightness. Cospheric's hemispherically coated opaque microspheres in our proprietary containment structure enable electronic paper displays with best in class whiteness, contrast and reliability. High opacity of our microspheres enables monolayer packing of spheres, lowering the operating voltage and the cost of the display.
Micro-concentrators and Encapsulation of Solar Cells: Cospheric�s microstructures, coatings, and encapsulation processes offer new possibilities for solar cells. Our cost-effective Roll-to-Roll encapsulation technology is thin and flexible - 25 micron or less in total thickness. It will significantly increase life expectancy of solar cells by maximizing resistance to harsh outdoor environments. It will be optically clear, maximizing transparency of the device. Our coating technology enables cost-effective manufacturing of micro-concentrators.
Instrument Design and Testing of Diagnostic Devices:  Cosphericï's ability to create microparticles with dual-functionalities has many interesting applications in diagnostic and medical devices, microrheology, and immunoassays. Dual-functional particles can be magnetically or electrically aligned to show a visual response to the stimuli and assist self-assembly of particles in a solution.
Polyethylene Microsphers for Use in Cosmetics, Skin Care and Personal Care Products: Microspheres have numerous uses in cosmetics, skin care and personal care industries. They effectively scatter light minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They can be used as exfoliating agents and carriers of beneficial ingredients. They also create a ball-bearing effect in creams and lotions resulting in luxury feel and smooth silky texture. Cospheric microspheres' exceptional sphericity and smoothness dramatically enhance the tactile experience of a cosmetic product. Drug Delivery: Cospheric microspheres have the tight particle size and sphericity to meet drug delivery requirements. In addition, our spheres can be loaded upto 40% by weight with added ingredients. They can be custom made with magnetic or electric functionality and as many coating layers as necessary to enable external delivery of microspheres to the desired organ.
